Boat Recommendations Wanted

I am looking for a winter restoration project. Prefer 14-18 feet, semi v, round chine for lake use. Should have a decked over bow, windshield, forward steering station. I like the looks of the older ones from the 50's and early 60's.

What makes and models are considered "best" and "solid"? I am not as interested in "collector value" as much as getting a solid boat that I can use and enjoy for years.

I do like the looks of the decked over ones with cockpits.... but really, I just want some recommendations so that I don't waste time and money on a marginal boat.
