Corrosion

I'm fixing up an old 14' v-bottom, adding a casting deck up front among other things. I've got the boat about 99% stripped of MANY MANY layers of paint, primer, etc. so I'm almost to the construction phase. I plan on running 2x4's horizontally across the width of the boat to support the plywood deck. I was planning rivet some galvanized joist hangers to the sides of the hull for the 2x4's, but I keep reading things about corrosion between dissimilar metals. It seems like this is mostly when submerged in saltwater, but would this be an issue for my freshwater only boat? The parts in question would never actually be submerged, but subject to the inevitable wetting every part of a small fishing boat must endure.
Thanks.
