Thanks for the input, Spike. I have seen the Hydrilla Gorilla site, as well as every other site I could find on the subject. The boat in question is actually more broad in the bow area than any other 14 footer I've seen. With all seats and bracing out of it, it kinda speads out even wider. This translates into an extremely stable bow, which has never had any problem supporting a lot of weight safely and smoothly. It also translates into a comparatively slow ride, but all my spots are on no-wake lakes anyway. SO I'm fairly confident in my plans, aside from the Joist hanger idea. I think I'll just used some aluminum L stock instead to avoid any potential corrosion issue. Thanks again.
