James,
I have a 2002 Lund Alaskan and have only used it hard one season. It was bone-dry until a few months ago when it developed a leak. The leak may have been from me drilling and installing downriggers. I may have drilled through the inside hull under one of the side runners. Anyway, I took some Lab-metal and first sealed up the seam on the transom and took the boat out and it still leaked. I then sealed the starboard runner and lower seem all the way from the transom to the keel and it stopped the leak. 5200 is a good idea to find where the leak is but it won't last more than a few seasons.

I'd seal up a section and try it, then seal another section and try it until you find it.
I purchased Lab-Metal off the Internet from Caswell, Inc.
