That's a good idea. I once owned a small jon boat. Everytime I got into it and took off, I thought the back end was going to sink. Forget slowing down quickly.
I went so far as to try to position myself more in the center of the boat. I also tried putting weight toward the front of the boat. My next option was to try a tiller extension I'd seen discussed on the board, but I gave up after that. Sold the boat, and decided to save up for something bigger. Still saving.
Anyway. It sounds like a good idea. I would have liked to have known about it when I still had my boat. I probably would have kept it.
