rick, as a carpenter and building contractor for 40 years, the cedar is too soft. i don't like the PT of today it is not like the old days and is not resistant to water. i just rehabed a 6 year old boat that the seat frames were PT, rotted. if you are going insided and out spend the buck and use marine and stain it to match. be sure that before you mount any of it that you seal all sides with atleast 3 coats. the edges especially.
