travis, this has been cover several times on this site, but here it goes. on the transon should be a plate that states Max HP, Max Wt, Max Persons. the Max Wt. is the total of motor, gas tank full, gear, and people. you are 250, another 150 for motor and gas, a 180 fishing partner. don't leave much margin for plywood. if you do it any way be sure for seal your plywood with atleast 3 coats of good sealer on all sides and edges. you don't want it becoming water logged form the back.
