I've had good luck with bed liner (the stuff for pickups). If you've got a good surface, that stuff should last a LONG time. Furthermore, you can use a rough roller, to get a non-skid surface.
The stuff is available at Wally World, or you could take the trailer to a place that does this work - I think they have color options as well.
