mounting transducer on jon boat

i just bought a garmin 240 and it has a transom mount transducer.what is the best way to mount this on a 12 foot aluminum jon boat ?how have you guys accomplished this feat?i dont really want a permanent mount.any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks ,andrew
