A few baits from a disabled veteran for a fellow carp fisherman. A very good one that catches carp and catfish uses a bag of oats from a feed store or instant oatmeal from any grocery store.A 4 pack of Barttles and James Strawberry Daquiri. Pour just enough to wet oates and let set over night. May have to add a little flower to stiffen. seal in a sealable bucket or jar. Alspo cream corn canbe used to add to loafbread, instant grits, cornflakes, wheaties, trout chow or any such item. Take trout chow and grind to flour in blender. add flower in almot equal amounts. Take clear corn syrup and add until stiff. can add more flour or syrup to keep it at right consistancy. seal in a container and dough will last forever. Can add flavoring or coolaide to give different baits.Regular canned whole grain corn is good alone or again with flavors added. Baby food cereals with either creamed corn or corn syrup added with flour work well. If you ave A Dollar tree near buy any oat cereal round in shape with corn oil and corn syrup put in a bottle and some sugar and a touch of salt shacken up in a bottle and poured over the cereal in A ZIP LOCK BAG is good and you can also add flavoring to the bottle mix and shake up. make up just enough to wet all the creal.Cornmeal, especially yellow plain mixed up with the syrup and flower or tortilla mix flour gets good and flavoring can also be used. Bran fom a feed store canbe added to any of these as an enhancer or make it up with syrup and flour as above. Wheat germ also is good from a grocery store to add to the above or with syrup and flour.any soft drink can be used to wet oates and set for abut a 1/2 it bonds together on its on.Instant flake potatoes also can be mixed with above or creamed corn or a flavoring such as SUPERIOR. A lot of times carp love Cinnamon. Add jalopena pepper powder or sauce drives away catfish but carp love hot baits. Texas Pete Honey mustard especially instant grits works well and you just mix it as you need it. Don't use Quick Grits. They will not bond together as instant does. Catsup added to instant rice makes it bond and carp love it. Hope this helps you
