You'll probably need to re-jet it for operation at that level. Otherwise it'll tend to run richer due to thinner air and same amount of fuel being allowed thru the main jet.
The dealer should have specs on what jet size is recommeded for hi-altitude operation.
If you're only trolling with the motor, you might be able to lean it out enough by using the idle mixture knob. However, this won't have enough effect on mid-range and hi-speed operation, you'd want to change the main jet in that case.
You should just have to pull the carb, turn it over, remove the float bowl cover, swap out jets, reassemble/reinstall carb and have at it.
