50:1 is the correct mixture. The motor is a very reliable one.
You may have to replace your steering system with a teleflex one.
In general, clean the fuel system (carb, lines, tank), replace and gap the plugs, replace the impeller and if so equipped, clean and gap the points.
To sell your classic, use the Webvertize board at www.aomci.org. It'll be snapped up in no time.
The brass tank fitting is a pipe fitting -- that is, it has tapered threads and will seal itself when tightened. For extra insurance use fuel-proof teflon tape.
