THanks Spike. That may be the problem. We took the boat out on the long weekend and the first day it ran just my husband Jim said it went like a bat out of hell.. however the second day we had continual probelms with one motor. Jim finds it very hard to figure out if it is in neutral and sometimes finds out he is in reverse plus the engine keeps quitting. We plan to replace the gas tank and connections as it seems to have an air leak. This boat and the two motors are in excellent shape. They belonged to my dad who died last fall. He was a mechanical engineer and also was in the navy so he took good care of everything and also kept it in the garage. We are wondering if we could change the dual controls.. there are four levers, two for each motor to something else or if the system we have just needs tightened up.
Cheers from Canada.
