Can`t help you much on your specific motor but the rule of thumb for current draw is 1 amp for each pound of thrust.Another rule of thumb is 2 hours of charge time for each hour of use.
Unfortunately weight and storage capacity are directly related.Battery lifecycle(years of service) is related to capacity as well.You should never depleat a battery below 40% of capacity and the less it is drained the more charge cycles it can handle.
If this is going to be your primary source of power I would not go any smaller than a group 24 deepcycle battery and get the highest capacity battery you can afford.I feel the very best deepcycle battery is the Trojan You will probably
pay 30% more but it will outperform most others 2 to 1.Do a search on the web for deepcycle battery info.There may even be a Trojan site with info.
