Your Ted Williams was built by Eska for sears.
It has a tecumseh powerhead.
The Mix is 24 parts gas to 1 part oil. the mix is very important because thats how the engine recieves its lubrication.
The condition you describe running for a half hour then stopping is probably due to overheating. It could be due to the 50:1 mix but is most likely a bad water pump. Even though the powerhead is aircooled like a lawn mower, the exhaust gases need to be forced out by a flow of water. after a few miutes of running, these gases will build up and overheat the motor causing it to weaken, slow then quit. Certified parts corp. sells new water pumps for your motor.
