If you don't mind a motor with a lot of experience, check out the "Webvertise" pages over at the Antique Outboard Motor Club (http://www.aomci.org ). A very sweet running and good looking motor from the 50s shouldn't run over $500 and can still be very reliable. As an added benefit, it will certainly turn a few heads at the boat ramp. Look for Johnson model RD or Evinrude Bigtwin models from the mid to late 50s. Yes, parts are readily available, just in case.
