If I recall that motor is all babitt-bearing inside, 24:1 is probably a safe bet. Use a good oil such as the Penzoil Synthetic Blend (which is avaiable at Wally's Mart for decent price) and it won't smoke too much.

If you're bothered by smoking at that mixture, try a super-premium synthetic oil as those will smoke a fair amount less.

OMC eventually put needles on the rod ends of these motors but AFAIK the lower and upper crank bearings were babbitt to the end run. Can't hurt to have a little bit extra lube at these points, anyhow.
