You can check temp on the head.Carefully feel it with your hand.It should be too hot to hold your hand on but not so hot it burns your hand.
Check the primer bulb if it is collapsing
there is a restriction between the bulb and the tank or maybe the vent is plugged.
If bulb seems to be ok squeeze it. If it helps then you may have a bad fuel pump.You could also
unhook the line from pump to carb and carefully crank with the line in a can.Crank with the motor cold no choke no throttle so it won`t start.The gas should come out in strong steady pulses.Be careful gas fumes are dangerous.If you suspect a bad pump also check all hoses,connections,connectors and filters.Don`t forget to check the diptube in the
tank.
