I moderated the reliability aspect of outboards by hanging another one beside that one. Doesn't have to be a super power, just something to give you another chance to get home!!! Caaaaaannn't completely vouch for that either, have had to come home on my electric trolling motor when both of my gasoline engines failed in the past!!! just can't trust anything!!!! I try to leave the dock and go upstream, just for a little more help!!!!
