Set the points to .020.If it has the odd looking
upright points it may share the magneto set up of
the mid to late 40s TD 20 5 hp.Johnson.
Use 1/2 pt to a gallon fuel mix.and don`t use
ether,use fuel mix to prime.
Be sure you have a strong blue snappy spark.
Spray fuel mix into the carb and see if it takes it up.check the plugs for dampness.Be sure there
is an air gap between magnets and coil armature
and that the mag plate doesn`t wobble.My limited
expierence with these mags is they seem to be
reliable and are fairly easy to get working.
