Simplest and easiest way is change the reeds to Boyesen power reeds. I sell them pretty cheap and have done hundreds of motors. I even use them when I rebuild powerheads because they are acually more safe than the stock metal reeds that can break and do evgine damage at high rpm's. My experience with these have added 7-12 mph on the water and I have done from 8 hp up to 175 hp engines and all have been a success.
