In a word - no. The 15hp was about the upper limit of the 13-cubic inch block. Nothing like cubic inches to gain power. I would go with Ed's recommendations of either going for a bigger motor, or making sure you're getting all 15 rated horses. Carbon build-up, burrs on the prop, improper motor angle, poor boat bottom condition, the wrong prop for the rig, poorly balanced loading of the boat, etc. are all relatively easy things to check, and can all have an effect on performance... |
