Rapalas is the only lure I use when casting or slow, shallow trolling (I normally use 6" spoons for my regular trolls - Great Lakes). Rapalas also have rattlers, dip divers, and many, many more variations for most types of fishin'. You can view their site at www.rapala.com to see the LARGE variety of lures. There's also a link to a page that describes the best way to fish each type of lure!
What ever you decide, at least give a Rapala a try. I don't know where you are, but I've caught several good stripers, and plenty of other bass and other species, on Beaver Lake & Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas and a few of the larger varieties of largemouth and white bass, as well as other fish (except salmon), here on Lower Lake Huron.
